EV just announced it's new EVERSE 8 battery powered powered speaker. This unit competes directly with the Bose S1 and JBL EON Compact. My buddy has written a review of it for the next issue of Front-of-House magazine that will be out soon.
This speaker is about the same size and weight of the competition but offers higher SPL. MAP is $749 which is at the higher end of the category.
The mixer (controllable via BT) offers more effects in the mixer than the others in its class but less EQ than the JBL. It also has a 12v output port to power your wireless system, a shelf option to hold the wireless and there is an optional cover for the controls that will provide peace-of-mind for operation in wet weather (see 2nd pic).
Given that it is from EV, I am sure NLFXpro will be one of the first to have it in stock. Those Minnesotans seem to stick together.
