decent list.
I went with yamaha DXR12 speakers (now have 4) and an alto wireless stealth which i've used more times than I can count. For allkinds of events, like tomoorow doing a car cruise for a bar - I'll be outside but put one of my speakers inside, wireless, so they get the same music/announcements as outside.

I have 2 sets of GTD mics- been great. Not as nice as the shures (had them before the bandwidth change) but they have better range, are durable (drunks drop things...even at weddings) and are way cheaper. Not the top choice for singing, but that's rare for me to do any event with singing, but have done a couple fo weddings where there is a singer.

Subs...I have 2 etx 18's and rarely use them other than school dances or when I feel like it. Big, heavy, hard to transport.

I have 2 laptops one being backup/ceremony/runs my DMX lighting.
I too use a 2x4 table. My facade is pvc pipe with banquet skirting on it. Now that I have a van maybe I'll go to a hard facade...or not. THe cloth is so easy to carry and setup.

and playing outside you need more speakers. No walls to reflect the sound.

Looking at your Wish List, I will say to defenitely buy the Yamaha MG10XU mixer! I love my Yamaha Mixers. I have two of them which is perfect for handling weddings.

I have some old alum stands that I love better than the newer steel - MUCH lighter and you move them ALL the time so it adds up.
All my stands have pins, I never rely on the clamps.

And air stands are WAY nicer than non-air!
