Need THE BEST "all in one" internet security program...

Is there a great SINGLE program that handles anti-virus, malware, spyware, firewall? All of it at once? Doesn't need to be a free program. I just need it to be GREAT. ( and not cause me grief with legitimate programs )

Getting a new lappy that nobody but me is allowed to touch.

People have told me that avast! is good, and maybe it is, but right now it is doing a full scan for viruses on an old desktop and it is STILL GOING anfer 90 minutes! :sqeek:
 
I'm a BIG fan of ESET Smart Security :)

It's the least resource intensive program on the market, IMHO (it's mostly written in Assembler). I've been using it for about a year on multiple machines (I got the multi-pack).

I don't know how long it takes to scan, as I have it scheduled to do that when I'm sleeping ;)


It doesn't interfere with anything, and you can go on about yer business while it does it's business.

BTW, just for S&G, I ran a scan while I was typing the above post.

It took 35 minutes to scan 451k files -- all that while my compiler was running, 7 tabs in Firefox, XM Radio gadget, weather, etc. -- my new sweet Vista machine :)
