It looks like my Aeon Blackbird unit went out. I'm only controlling uplights with it. Usually start off with a static color for dinner then throw it into sound active for dance. My movers are all on sound active. I'm not really interested in doing a PC-based controller or anything that requires programming. Oh, and cheap is better (I'm stretched at the moment). BTW, I have all lights at the same DMX address so the entire room stays a consistent color. Any suggestions?

I ordered a Chauvet Obey 4. Looks pretty simple to setup color-changes or to dial in static colors. At some point I'm going to do some serious work on my lighting but for now there are too many other things that are priority.
It’s should do everything you need you missed it by a few weeks I just gave one away had it for several years never took it out of the box

Get another Blackbird. Don't mess with success.

The only reason to move on to anything more complicated is getting into production lighting. If you test the market, you'll find few customers are willing to buy into the lighting add-on. If you simply add the upcharge cost into your base price, closing contracts now become restricted. I am so glad I was able to sell my Blackbird and uplights for a decent price. Much too labor and space intensive for my tastes nowadays.

It's kind of funny that you asked what you should get and before anyone here can give suggestions, you already bought an item. No put down at all because I can admit I've done the same thing.
