if necessary, I can usually takapizz and get back with enough time to avoid any DEAD AIR.

We had a place near me...was the size of a BIG college gym.
The bathroom was downstairs one floor...directly below the DJ table.
But you had to walk to the steps on the other side of the room...
and then walk back the full length of the room below you.
You needed a good 4-minute song to make it there and back.
MY go-to song was Love Shack.

Bar I worked at for years had bathroom near the back door I set up near the front door, it was usually quicker to go outside and around the building than to try to fight through the crowd

My go to song was Atomic Dog... 12'' version

bathroom was 2 stories down in the back of the kitchen...luckily the dj booth had an accessway to the stair case... a couple times i used the main bathroom in the club... but usually ended up in a fight with people skippin line...lol

The last place i worked had a back alley... that was my go to spot ...

...alright, since we going there, in my formative DJ era, I was spinning vinyl in a rock bar/pool hall and my takadump song was one of my top 3 songs of all time...Kashmir (from the original album) @ 9:41.

My original reference in post #11, was only regrading private events, not club & bar work.

Get Up Offa That Thing is currently back in my rotations as well.
It is very useful inthe right circumstances...otherwise it's a turd-a-la-mode.

JB, Mr. Please, Please, Please, Mr. Try Me, Mr. Dynamite, Soul Brother No.1, The Godfather of Soul's I Feel Good is a much safer go to.

UPDATE:

Played Lakeside's All the Way Live into Get Up Offa Dat Thang in a uptempo funk set at a corporate tailgate on Monday and received the following compliment from a guest, "You a Bad Man."

I love when guests are into the set/mix like that.

BTW:
HOW BOUT DEM TIGERS!!!
