That is an awesome playlist
Thanks. Lots of GOH requests and duplicates for sing alongs.

GOH's 73rd B-day party so it was more a cocktail party and reunion of friends. It was a challenging set to mix but lots of great reactions and impromptu dancing.

Other than the weather, all was amazingly perfect.

Now THAT'S a playlist I would enjoy anytime. I use most of those songs for casual parties.

I havent done one of these type events in a long time...and i honestly miss them...i love getting a crowd to dance...but sometimes its nice to just be the curator of the "comfort food" of music genres that just makes people happy to be there... the dancefloor isnt pressure filled for anyone involved... and it isnt some forbidden zone where all the young folk are jumping around making a racket...

That really is a great list - Get Up Offa That Thing, indeed! It's no wonder you were so busy - I'm officially naming you Mr. 3 Minutes. At my age, I always stick in one long potty break song!

Most cuts get between 3.5 & 4 mins.

Hotter mixes maybe less than 3.

I only take breaks if needed or warranted...usually don't need 'em.

Also, I find not eating during an event helps stay nature's calls to extension #2...and, if necessary, I can usually takapizz and get back with enough time to avoid any DEAD AIR. (I'm blessed as don't have to root around to find it...

No for me it was Barney the Dinosaur and Caillou with a healthy dose of Scooby Doo. I don't think I ever seen Sister Act

Though he seems to dislike them now, my son loved movies with singing back in the mid 90s .. Sister Act, That Thing You Do, etc. watched way too many times.

So far I've been lucky haven't seen that one either :)
That had high school kids in it, so we watched it just as much ... (including young Jennifer Love Hewitt, Lauryn Hill)

My partner sits in it while I cramp up.

Seriously, I never sit, not even during those 5 hour sets...and my knees r shit.

I would consider a stool or, preferably, one of the lean-chairs I posted in dramacho's thread but I am committed to staving off appearing like a lazily seated, unprofessional. I can appreciate and understand those with debilitating physical conditions but for the sake of simply not wanting to stand, I'll remain standing.

Wait a minute!
Hold it!
I feel good!

I more favor and prefer the following rendition (but is not the version I play for events):

P.S. I found the sister act movies very enjoyable. Whoopie can individually go pound sand but I enjoyed her performance and the movie had GREAT music.
