Funny thing is.....that price isnt far off from what people are selling vintage boom boxes for on ebay...lol

My new side hobby is vintage stereo receivers. Picked up a late 70s-era Pioneer at an estate sale the other day for $60. It typically sells on eBay for $200-$300 easy.

Is April 2 a special holiday in Sawdustland?

Because, April 1st is the National holiday in Wyzassia!

I have two but they are voracious on energy supply.

Fortunately, I was able to get a HUGE supply of US Congressional campaign speech transcripts to feed my mini Mr. Fusion fuel converter.

Is that the model with the flux capacitor?
I heard those babies can put out 1.21 jiggawatts!

GREAT HOBBY!

My first serious audio purchase was a pair of Klipsch Heresy speakers. I worked an entire summer and then some to save enough to get the unfinished Birch versions as I could not afford the finished styles, saved about $75 a cabinet and in 198cough0ish, that was serious cash to this aspiring audiophile.

I still own an enjoy those speaker to this day.

Over the next few years were several Yamaha components (integrated amp, tuner, dubbing cassette deck with dbx) and a Technics TT (not a 1200 but a linear drive SL-7). My Dad could not believe, was astounded actually that I spent that amount of money on gear to listen to music...38 years later, still addicted...thankfully!
