A lot of DJs are slowing down these last few years. I'm getting events, but I'm not pulling the amount of inquiries and bookings I was doing in 2015/2016. Covid is partially to blame. I firmly believe there are less weddings to go around today as less people are getting married. It could also be that in your area there are even fewer weddings occurring. Statistics prove that less marriages are occurring.
Marriage rates in the US plunge to the LOWEST on record with only 6.5 unions formed for every 1,000 people as couples opt to cohabitate and save money instead

- From 2017 to 2018, the rate dropped six percent, from to 6.9 per 1,000 population to 6.5, according to a government report released Wednesday
- This is the lowest level recorded by the government since it started to record marriage data in 1867
- There's no explicit reason why marriages declined in 2018 but financial strain and a preference for cohabitatoin are big factors.
- 'Millennials are in peak marriage years, their 20s and 30s, and it’s still dropping,' report author Sally Curtin said
- The coronavirus pandemic could make marriage rates decline further amid financial inseucirty and travel and social gathering restrictions
Also, there is more to it than just finances. Hearing a lot about more and more men "giving up" and choosing not to deal with "modern women". The dating scene is real crazy with these younger people these days. It's way different than when I was in the early/mid 20s. More and more. It's kinda fascinating actually when I listen to younger people talk about it.
