. This is circa 1976 - 15 years old ..... Mr and my brother (he was 12) started dj'ing at schools and other function for teens/ mid schoolers. This was the first gear we bought - Traynor amp/mixer, Earth Speakers and a Lloyds ttable - the 2nd was an Audio Techica.
We ran the Realistic mixer was run into the Traynor
We made a case for the tables and suspended them with bungee cord to prevent skipping.... Made start/ stop switches so as to cue - didn't know what slip mats were.
Bear in mind in 76 - no internet - one music store in town that did not carry dj stuff, so it was all DIY for the most part... Home made light effects/ colour organ and the like.
