My first "BUSY" weekend and what I learned...

AGAIN we can guess all we want on what he should do to make his setup look better on what he posted on here and all we would be doing is guessing. I can guess what you look like. Would that be close to what you look like?
What you seem to be not understanding (by selective and repetetive choice) is - you're stating that we can guess what he should do to make his setup better. What you're being told is - asking questions means nothing if you have no intention of listening to nor implementing anything suggested. You have asked for help, thoughts, suggestions and ideas for many years - what have you actually learned, applied and used?

DJ Forbes has been here for a very short time - and has already read, heard, digested and applied previously learned lessons from many folks here and other places. He's also contributed valued information to other users questions and thoughts.

MIX, this is for you Bud.... this is from behind my table at my last wedding reception. It's not horrible, just more of a "nest" of wires than I like on my table.

And Yes, I'm working to get away from the overhead truss system for weddings. When I started out, I was directed that way from the DJ's I was working with, and I thought it made since. I wish I would have spent that money on the Rockville totems instead. Live and learn. For now, it's what I have and it's works. I'll upgrade as gig income allows.
The Scrim I use for weddings really does allow me to hide a lot, and therefore, I may just use it at all of my events going forward. As I mentioned, I am going to get a black scrim as well so I have the option, depending on venue and overall look I'm going for at a particular event.
The OCD side of me has a question .. why is the one uplight red?

FWIW, if you saw under my table, it's also a nest of wires - table skirts hide it.

@ittigger another good catch. Somehow that light was switched off of dmx. My guess is a set of "little fingers" found it and hit the menu button. It was good through dinner and first dances, then I switched into "dancing mode" where I have my uplights to change on music beat, or a slow chase around the room, so I didn't notice it until later in the evening when they wanted the room set back to "their color" for some slow dances. I bought some "safety covers" to go over the power buttons on my uplights (rockville wedges) but I'm not sure of the best way to prevent this type of thing from happening... maybe a long-range nerf or airsoft bb gun for my booth? LOL (Easy folks... I'm kidding.... I think.... LOL)

How's about a device that if someone messes with them while on they get a little electrical shock.
