I've been away from the DJ biz ever since I moved to AZ (2008) and now have my oldest who just got engaged. Interesting convo the other night about songs selections and my daughter (which I have deemed bridezilla) wanting to write out her playlist for the DJ!!!

Going through some of my song lists from here brings back soo many fond memories. I loved being a DJ!! And still to this day, have that itch to inject myself into the parties I attend.

Just really stopping in and saying Hi! Cheers and I hope you all have a great holiday.

Any DJs in Phoenix available in Feb 2027?

Welcome!

No DJ events for me this December, but I will enjoy my weekends off from the full time job. I will be off for Christmas, but have to work Christmas Eve until Mid night. I'll enjoy the holiday to the best I can.

There is a DJ out in that area here on the forum maybe he will chime in once he sees this!

Or, you can book DJ TASO for an over the top celebration with hundreds of songs played in 20-60 second fast mixing, but you would need to fly him out from Jersey, put him in a hotel, and spend BIG MONEY if you go that route!

Lol the whole quick mixing thing really bothers you I feel. full transparancy, it's not really 20-60 seconds... but predominantly 60-90 seconds. Some songs less, some more but mostly around that range. I'm pretty sure though that couples appreciate it, as my 2026 is pretty much a wrap (60 events booked, willing to accept 5 more, but don't need to). Sweet 16's are different w/ most songs being 1 verse 1 chorus, but reality is I don't do those anymore in any notable way (just 4 Sweet 16's for 2025 out of nearly 70 events).

To the OP, there are some great dj's in the phoenix area. Depending on budget, I'd check out DJ Raza. https://www.instagram.com/razadjservices He does a lot of impressive weddings and has some incredible setups/presentations. I'm always down to fly though, especially being slow season (I'm doing this next year in Florida during a busier time of the year and they're looking at an all in budget of around $14k between flights, accomodations rentals including dj equipment/facade, mics, sound and dancefloor lighting/uplighting, and my fee)

Nice to see you around Al.

Our very own @SEDJ is out your way if you are looking for a quality guy

Congrats on your daughter. Mine is tying the knot next Oct. She hasn't crossed into Bridezilla territory yet but I no longer believe she never would.

Quick mixing doesn't bother me! I was just pointing out that you have a unique style that he might not be used to or have seen before especially considering he got out of deejaying back in 2008.
