Let me say this. Having a red light blinking on and off isn't clipping to me and will not damage speakers. It's when the red light stays on constently where the issue of damaging a speaker can happen. The light coming in little spirts is fine. That's how I run the setup. Never damaged the tops ever.

Let me say this you can't make up what gain structure is to suit yourself. If you are running your speakers at "12 O'clock" and cranking the volume on the mixer/controller that's improper gain structure and you are clipping and probably distorting

You're assuming that the button for the on the controller is being set very high. That's not the case. What I do is adjust the volume to the event and room size. The music should be at a comfortable volume. It shouldn't have people's ears ringing or so loud the sound is distorted. Some think that the volume needs to be super high to impress the crowd. What's needed is for the DJ to play the right music for the event at the right time. A D.J can have the right music and yet the event can turn out a mess because the DJ played the wrong music at the wrong time.

I think he’s assuming that because your posts seem to indicate you have a different definition of gain structure than the rest of the world. Need all 3.

Right music, right volume, right gain. Stop listening to Meatloaf 😁. In this scenario, 2 out of 3 IS bad!

Well, I'm not using it at tomorrow's wedding because cocktail hour will be in the same room as reception, however, I did blue tooth connect to it in my basement I am impressed out of the Bass that the 8" Sub puts out.

I feel like I could certainly use a pair of them to DJ parties and smaller weddings with. In conjunction with a 12 or 15" Sub I bet it would work great. I feel like using this array system is comparable to using a pair of regular 10" speakers. Comparable to my Alto TS110A, or Yamaha DBR10, or the older QSC K10 speakers in terms of power output.

Here are the SPECS in the owner's manual:
900 Watts
121 DB
Weight: Sub is 29.5 lbs, columns are 9.3 lbs.

It came with a carry case for the columns. No protective cover for the SUB like the MLS1000 came with. Certainly not needed though.

With all this said, I have a Sweet 16 on Saturday (My first and only Sweet 16 party of 2022, and actually my first one in a few years). It is in a small room. The planner told me that the room at the hotel is 26' x 40. Not big, and she is going to fit 8 round tables in this space so I am not sure how large the dance floor will be, but I assume it will be tight. There is supposed to be 45 guests in total.

I am going to use both of the Harbinger MLS1000s on this one, and while I don't think I need a Sub in conjunction with them, I am going to bring one any way just because I want to see how it will sound :) Also providing up lights on the Sweet 16 party. Also, I find it interesting that most of the music requests for the Sweet 16 are older songs! There are some newer ones like Taki Taki and Papas, BUT what I find interesting is she has Bel Biv Davoe Poison and Return of the Mack Mark Morrison. I wonder if the parents wanted those songs on the list, or if she is actually into older songs? I guess I wil lfind out on Saturday! Also lots of early 2000s pop songs that were HUGE Hits before she was born considering she was born in 2006. Lots of Nelly Turtado and Lady Gaga songs requested. Should be an interesting Sweet 16. I'm actually really looking forward to the Sweet 16 since I have not done one in so long!

I am thinking the MLS 1000s in conjunction with my 12" Sub might actually have a sweet bass sound considering they already have 10" Subs. It will Probably sound thumpier than my 12" Sub and 12" tops combo I am use to.

I thought the idea of using MLS1000 was to keep things compact & lighter and yet have great sound for the venue you are performing ??

Yes. For a guitarist or a DUO, It would be great to use. Lots of Sound comes out of it. I am certain I could use just 1 of them for this Sweet 16 I have tomorrow and could handle the party, except it's not going to give the desired effect for bass, but volume wise it's capable by itself to do a a 40" long room with under 50 guests. The pair of them without an additional Sub would be plenty.

Actually, The 1000 has essentially the same foot print as the 900. The SUB on the 1000 is barely any larger. Maybe a tiny bit wider, but height is about the same.
