I’m running Serato DJ on a Mac Book Pro. The last gig I had, I heard a couple of songs pop/drop sounds for about a second. Today I was playing back some music and it did the same thing and sometimes not in the same spot. Do I have a corrupt file, a computer issue, or a external hard drive issue? The other problem is I am not a technical wiz coming to this stuff. Little help.

I’m not a computer dude but upon further review it has nothing to do with Serato or the controller. It’s ITunes. I’m very sorry for the confusion. I found two songs that the music pops. What would cause this?

Sorry guys!!!!

Does it do it when you close iTunes and reopen it and have no other programs running, Once in a while that happens to my iTunes when I’m overloading my computer with a bunch of programs running simultaneously. I doubt it’s the actual song files.

If you're having drops in sound for a whole second it sounds like a different problem than what other MBP users are talking about. But did you update your OS before this started happening?

When you say it's in iTunes, do you mean you're actually running iTunes or are you using the iTunes library through Serato?

I disagree with a few of the assertions .. iTunes WILL be my music management tool until it goes away .. I find NOTHING easier to use.
Well, all I can say is that my high opinion of you has just gone down a few notches! Do you have a pair of Alto's in the closet?

In the fine spirit of thread derailment...

U/RemixRotation created an analysis program that does this -
"I built an analysis engine to identify the 13,294 tracks that DJs have downloaded the most so far in 2018, organized into 30 genres (based on Beatport, Traxsource, JunoDownload). Tracks are matched to free YouTube vids. On laptops, you can add your Spotify. Select your fav. genre!"

and here it is -
Best of 2018: the biggest 16,000 tracks in 36 music genres...Free YouTube player for music...Spotify recommendations...Price comparisons for DJs...

The only program running is iTunes. I found two songs yesterday that popped. One popped at the same place and another song popped in a different spot.

You have to realize that in the PC/Mac world, the amount of DJ's using laptops vs everyone else using laptops, is so small as to be almost virtually insignificant. That's why it is so important on Forums like this, that if you run across a Model or Operating system that works 100%, a 100% of the time, you share that info with everyone else.
I'll start -
1) I got nothing

2) I got something .. but I was told there was a pill for it ...
