So, I won't keep it strictly Black Friday this year since it's expanded to cover most of the month anyway.

If you see a good deal, post it .. Try to keep miscellaneous comments down so people can find things. I WILL cull this thread since I expect a number of things coming in the next few weeks.

Happy Buying ...

Seems like everyone is using those Mauis

cc

They seem very similar to my compacts, but with battery power. Great combo. I've never heard them, but I can understand why they'd be popular.

Small gig, ceremonies, cocktail hour, fill, patio. I use the s1's more now than the compacts, but I'd be all over these if I didn't already have the portibility thing taken care of.

2 of these would be PERFECT for an older Dj who does smaller gigs with house music for older people and has trouble with heavy gear. But I don't know anyone like that.

I think it is because the manufacturer has to approve of the sale in order to be included. OFTEN when there is a sale, the manufacturer cuts a discount deal with the retailer so the retailer does not lose most of the mark up. ...When I worked at Roma Sausage, this one grocerry store chain
regular price on 1 lb of Sausage links was $2.80. Regular price there was $3.99. However, whenever they had a sale, we sold them the same sausage for $2.20. They put it on sale 2/$6. They would only make 80 cents per each lb sold instead of $1.19.

I assume these 15 to 20% discount sales work in a similiar fashion on audio gear. The retailer sells more units, and ultimately makes more money. The manufacturer get's more product moved as well.

...When you see some insane deal on something at a grocery store...LIke Red Baron Pizzas for $1.99 each (Limit 1 or 2 per person). That type of sale is called "penny for a lead" sale. The grocery store sells at $1.99. They buy the pizza for $2.00 from the manufacturer. They lose a penny on each sale. The hope is that customers buy other stuff where the grocery store can make a profit. It gets more customers through the door basically.

I don't think audio sellers do "penny for a lead" sales except maybe for a door buster around the holidays.

For only slightly more, the Bose Compact is a much better investment.

NLFX is offering $100 Visa card if you open a 0% interest credit card with them and use it the day you get approved.

Ben got me 10% off a Sennheiser ew-112 G4. I've been upgrading my wireless off the 600mhz, so with the gift card, it's almost 30% off. Use these for lav mics and wireless speakers. They are also great for the battery powered ceremonies.
I did the same as cash option just to get the extra $100 gift card
Just came today.
