Elementary kids up here like to dance and are into all the latest hits, they request them by song title and artist. I don't do games and they love me. I play the music that they want to hear and dance to, so games aren't neccessary.
It's just like DJ'ing a wedding, play the 'right' music and they will dance! I've been DJ'ing for over 14 years and have never had to play games at weddings. I have always been able to get them dancing with my extensive knowledge of music and knowing what to play and when to play it. One minute guests are commenting on me knowing all the words (they see me lip-syncing) to Perry Como / Fontaine Sisters duets and not too long after I can have them dancing to AC/DC, etc...
