I've been bit twice recently where, the client wants, say, karaoke. I forgot to check the little checkbox in Access that mail merges to the line in my contract in Word that says, "DJ Service agrees to provide the following services: DJ Music and Entertainment". If the 'DJ' and 'karaoke' boxes are checked in Access, it would then read, "DJ Service agrees to provide the following services: DJ Music and Entertainment; Karaoke Singalong." Well, the client didn't read the contract, of course, but signed and returned it. I send out a DJ with no karaoke. Client is upset.
SO.........
I'm going to change my contract so it looks something like this: "DJ Service agrees to provide the following services: DJ Music and Entertainment: YES; Karaoke Singalong: YES; Lights: NO; Party Favors: NO."
Hopefully that will add an additional check and balance.
