I know it says M20 is the size of the subwoofer poles out there, but...

if I am calling around to ask for a M20 bolt (I need a replacement on my ES1203 to connect the dummy pole) do I just ask for an M20 x however many inches, so M20 x3

Yes ... M20 is 20mm diameter, so if you need one about 2 inches long it would be a M20x50mm (with a M20, the other dimensions are metric as well). 3" would be 75mm

ok, thanks, Steve. Have a favorite online place I should be ordering from?

M20X2.5X75mm?

2.5?

For only 1 or 2, I'd either check HD or Lowes or get it online at Amazon or eBay. For bulk, I've bought from Grainger. Our local Ace also has a good screw/bolt selection.

Well, I am buying the bolt as an emergency piece. I purchased the DP1203 (designer pole) also known as the dummy pole for my ES1203. The bolt mounts the fake bottom array to the "sub." It comes with a really nice hand screw to mount the DP to the M20 threading on the sub.

I called DB Tech and they said it's a part they are adding and I will be sent one (a replacement from Italy) at some point. Could be 6 months. I can't take that chance as this little piece could screw me if I were to lose it

ok, so Lowes or HD or ACE does not have any M20 sizes.

I found a local hardware shop that has M20, but they need to know the pitch size. I have no clue...

Most speakers use M20-2.5 (2.5 mm thread pitch) for hanging .. I would suspect the pole is the same. .

ok, thanks. Well here is the best thing I could find:

It's just is going into the sub itself, through the hole on the Designer Pole.

Just make sure there is 2" of depth in the hole ... 50mm is longer than most pole screws .

oh really good to know. Should I get 40mm?
Might want to measure the hole (use a pencil or such, mark it, and measure). Most sub pole screws are around 25-30mm long .. not sure how deep the sockets are.
