Looking at getting a ramp to use to load and unload gear. The main reason is so we don't have to lift those Yorkville 801p subs into the van. Looking to make things easier and saving our bodies. Those subs are 135 lbs each. So please help with suggestions because I don't know what the length should be from the ground to the van itself in the back. Thanks all. Please also include a price if you know what the price is.

I suggest you save yourself some money on a ramp sell those subs and buy some for half the price and 1/4 the weight

Thanks but no thanks. I have events we do that we need those subs. Not looking to get rid of them. I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!

With a quick Google search and not much thought put in

Over 1000 watts 134Db and 75 Lbs. Yours are 1500 watt 134Db and 137 Lbs. No audible difference in loudness between them and 62 Lbs lighter and would probably be a better match for your Yamaha tops

EDIT: They have a better frequency range than the LS also 42-165 compared to 45-150 for the LS

Mix .. you have shown NO events that NEEDED those subs, only that you "believe" they are necessary. The only events would be the outdoor ones, but you'd be better renting some double 18s and amps, letting someone set them up and building that into the price. As Jeff said, there are plenty of good, lighter weight alternatives for 90% of your events.

That's great. Now send me the money to buy the subs you want me to have. Like I said I love those subs. Not looking to change to something else. Now it's about making adjustments using these subs so it's not over kill. May have an event to do in a park for July 4th and we would definitely will need those subs for that event.

That's the thing .. your business plan should be identifying that MOST of your gear should be changed to smaller stuff. What you have is NOT large enough for big outside events and is too large for the indoor stuff you do. Tradeit/sell it for a system YOU can move around, and rent (or get the organizer to rent) larger stuff. Here's a place near you that rents:

Once again thanks but no thanks. Just looking for suggestions for a van ramp.

You got the money sitting right there man. You're looking for a loading ramp any worth having to take that weight and a human are $1000 or close. You could sell those two old boat anchors you have for $1500 or better if they are in decent shape. There's $2500 to spend on something reasonable.

Just for reference the ramps I linked to are 110 Lbs...Not much of a weight savings when you have to lift them in and out plus push the speaker up it. You can go cheaper and lighter and replace them every 6 months

OK... I have a ramp for loading my minivan. I can’t remember what I paid for it, but I got it because I could not lift my old one-piece 12U rack. Mine is 7 feet, but you probably need an 8 footer. You have to get one that works with the floor height of your van, because if the incline is too steep, it gets really hard to push something extremely heavy up the ramp. If you’re just doing subs, you probably won’t have a problem with a 7 footer. I used to load my subs up on a Rock-n-roller cart along with lights and other stuff, so it was very heavy too. Since I downsized to the EVOX-8’s and a two-piece rack, I don’t really need to use the ramp anymore. Mine looks similar to this...

... You can get one on eBay by searching “folding aluminum ramps”.

Just simply thanks.

You're right because I didn't ask that question to begin with.
You may not have asked for that response - but that is a very qualified response. When you ask a question, you need to be prepared to hear multiple angles - to include ones you didn't think of. As already stated, you received some excellent advice.

Sorry you feel that way. I plan on getting rid of those subs when I officially retire from DJing. So far I'm not there yet.

By then you'll have to give them away
