We did a couple of events this weekend and I didn't take any pictures because I didn't want to take a beating on here about the speakers on the speaker stands not sitting straight up. They still are tilted. I bought the pieces I was suggested to buy and they don't work. They don't fit into the bottom of the holes at the bottom of the speakers. They are too big. It doesn't matter which speaker stands we use. We still have this issue. I'm looking for suggestions to resolve this issue. Please help. I don't want to spend money on new speaker stands unless I have to. What suggestions do any of you have? The speakers are Yamaha DSR 115.

The manual says that the pole diameter of your stand should be 35mm (1-3/8"). Some stands are 1.5" in diameter. I don't remember what accessories we might have recommended here before, but if they're too big to fit into the speaker, you probably didn't need them in the first place.

Is it possible that the flanges on the speakers are broken and/or worn out? They're easy to replace and you can get some that match the diameter of your stand poles.

Mix, you seem like you'd be willing to do some DIY hacks if it would be cheaper... so I'll offer a thought or two.

Look at the bottom of the speakers. If the holes in the bottom look to be in good shape (nothing broken in the cup), then it's likely a simple case of the speaker pole you have is too small in diameter for the speaker cups. Take some black duct tap and make a few wraps around your speaker pole, around the top 4" or so of the pole. Do about two complete wraps and put the speaker on. If it's still not straight, do another wrap or two. Keep doing this until the speaker sits straight and doesn't wobble. It will work. Not ideal, but it's a cheap fix. You'll likely have to replace the tape after a few times of taking the speaker on and off.

Ultimately, the best solution is to measure the cup on the speaker and find a set of poles that mate up with it exactly, but I think the tape route would get you by for the meantime.

Turn the speaker pole over.
Maybe your speakers are worn out??

My speakers are a bit loose on the stands, too.
I take a business card, fold it over a few timers, and stick it between the pole and the inside of the opening of the speaker.
