Oh I thought you meant no more than 40ish lbs per item, not combined my bad. Either way I didn't consider it to be that serious of an option. The RCF I mentioned is a very popular system amongst the high end dj's in the area that do smaller events (I do too many 200+ weddings for it to be something I invest in). It has a really nice look to it and the sound is top notch compared to probably anything else you're reviewing. But again, if you don't do enough of the small events, say sub 100 ppl I can't justify it.

I mean with enough twisting in my mind I can “justify” anything, lol. Realistically I’m winding down my DJ career, small simple light weight is my aim,
It’s pretty obvious that my age is starting to hold me back from higher end gigs, which I’m fine with. I’d rather play a party that’s done by 9pm anyway. The big system has earned its investment back many times over. I’ll keep it around just in case.

A small line array will be perfect for when I’m regulated to playing for the seniors at the local center 😂😂😂

I don’t need the income but I still have the interest, as long as it stays a sell supporting hobby that I enjoy I’m sure I will keep at it.

I don’t want to be one of those DJs who just hangs on to fulfill his ego

You will buy either Bose or EV, or a slim chance of Yamaha with your parameters, but the Yamaha one is heavy, so I don't think you will pick Yamaha.

Evolve 50 is basically what you will end up with if you have any negative thinking towards Bose. If you are a Bose Fan, just get the Bose.

You are wrong, I just ordered the HK Polar 10, The Yamaha was my second choice but just a bit too heavy. EV is to big and heavy, I’ve alway thought of Bose to be like Harley Davidson you pay a lot for the name

I’m sure you’ll enjoy that unit. Seems like a solid choice.

I’ve been all about light, easy to transport gear for a long time. Just has to sound great.
Has made my life much easier for years.
Then when the compact came out in 2009, things changed again. So many smaller gigs could be handled easily. We had 6 of them at one point. As long as you understood what they could and couldn’t do, they were awesome.

That HK looks good, and for a good price. I didn't see the weight but guessing it's slightly less than the Evolve 50. It's roughly half of what I just paid for my 50 but having the extra inputs and the mixer app was a game changer for me. I'd be curious to hear the bass. My 10s on the MLS1000 are really good, but the 12" on my Evolve 50 is beyond impressive. It really pumps. Enjoy.

You pay for quality. Bose makes great quality stuff. One other thing you pay for is their reputation. They make stuff that will sound great, work great and last a long time with the proper use.

The bass is good on the 10's it's extremely good on the 12s

Both HK and Yamaha can be serviced in house at the dealer where I buy my stuff and they have always given me free loaner gear, I’ve had some Bose in the past sending it in for service has been the downfall for me. Decent stuff maybe not as good as the fan boys claim but in par with other quality brands

I was interested in the H&K. The problem is that NO retailers near me sell them. So no where to potentially see and hear them in action.

I forgot to mention the warranty. Mine have 10 years I think they have cut it back to 5 now but that's still better than most
