I'm not a huge fan of t-bars. I know the Chauvet Gig bar seems fairly nice and easy. What are 2 lights that will work good to mount under my speakers on the speaker stand.. Thank you for your help

I have used ADJ Inno Pocket Scans on the pole under the tops. Not real bright (12w LED) but it provides some interest for a small dance floor and the units are small.

Revos and the other dot lights seem to have lost favor around here. I had a Revo 4 and sold it 2 years ago. Movers are hot, but tough to mount on a pole (though I have used them sitting on the subs). On the pole I usually see derbys, mirror ball effect lights (like the ADJ Contour) or scanners (sometimes upside down to throw the beam up).

How bout a simple wash light like the mega tri par pro's? they arent "give ya a headache" bright...but plenty to wash the floor

i think anything too big is a bit distracting

cc

ps- i personally think those tops are a tad low...

What about one of these on each speaker stand? Too much?
Depends on how they're run ..and also how high you can get them. Beams tend to look better coming down on the floor .. not sure you can do that well if they're mounted below the tops which would put them no more than 6 ft up.

I suppose if you angled them to paint the ceiling it might work.

2 mini kintas provide a lot of floor coverage. If you want a basic light show, you can't go wrong with them.

I would recommend having 2 different effects IF you are only planning to have 2. Give your show some variation.

A mini Kinta and a ADJ Stinger Gobo for example would be a good match. Stinger Gobo isn't tht big either.

I was thinking two of the same light so everything matches... That's my OCD showing..hahaha.

Stingers have lasers .. lasers should NOT be pointed at the dance floor .. makes them less of an option if there is only 1 or 2 lights.

Not sure what you're using for tops but this past year I've been mounting wash lights on top of my K10s (bolted on). The extra height really works well and gets the lights out of the eyes of the dancers.

As I said above, it's tough getting fancy lights on a pole as you normally can't get them high enough. Rick's idea of putting them "above" the speaker will help. A package like this .. Marq Lighting PA Light Rig - Light Mounting System for PA speakers - (https://www.idjnow.com/marq-light-mounting-system-for-pa-speakers.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiAhKviBRCNARIsAAGZ7Cejmp0f0039aI9HjJ5V-q6S40tVwhzAlUjmKvMbHudUCHHMd6v1ATEaAsPHEALw_wcB)

I used one of those, then ditched it because it was more trouble than it was worth. I had to screw both O-clamps into the K10, then insert the pole, then hang lights. Took too much time. What I found was that a single wash fixture (9X18s) on top of each K10 was more than adequate for dance floor coverage. If I wanted extra effects, I'd hang a Martin Acrobat under each speaker. That's actually a pretty effective setup.

I had the exact same experience with mine. The degree of difficulty was too high, so instead of using the bars mounted atop my speakers, I mounted the two Mini Kintas on top of my ADJ Dotz Par, then mounted one Chauvet Colorbank on top of each speaker using a custom bracket I made myself....

...That meant only one light stand, but lights on top of both speaker/sub combos.

Now that those speakers are gone, I mount the Colorbanks sideways on the speaker pole.
