Karaoke gangs?

Don't know if anyone caught this news bit about rival gangs at a karaoke bar. One person was stabbed to death and then the bar was set on fire and 18 more were killed. I don't think I have ever seen a cross word spoken at a karaoke bar, let alone it being a gang hangout.

At least 19 people have died after a karaoke bar in Indonesia's West Papua was set ablaze following a brawl between rival gangs of youths in the area, police in the provincial capital of Sorong said on Tuesday.

Sad to see this. I got to say it said it was a bunch of young people. Old heads like me aren't into starting any trouble at a bar or club. We just come there to enjoy ourselves.

Not even that. Most are supportive. Actually, the only grousing I ever hear at karaoke is when the host plays favorites in the rotation and lets his buddies go up repeatedly while others wait. Hmmm, maybe this was the impetus for the Indonesian violence.

Not sure how karaoke is viewed in Indonesia, but I've done a couple of vietnamese weddings where they had karaoke and let me tell you, those people take it VERY seriously. Both of those gigs I'd have 5-10 people surrounding me, making aggressive demands on what they wanted to do. By the way, I HATE karaoke. ;)

You apparently don't remember when we had the Karaoke Forum here years ago I can't speak for the guests at a show but the hosts were sure volatile LOL. We actually opened another forum for about a year to get it off this board it was OKJT.com. we closed it after a year or so it was actually worse and more work than The Zoo

Being tough on a forum and being tough at a karaoke bar are 2 different things, if you can be tough at a karaoke bar.😁

I imagine a pillow fight between Celine Dion singers and Cher crooners😁
