i just started working on a new project and it's not easy for me sitting at my desktop doing this. Limited space and with my health conditions I can only sit there but so long. I have to take a break for the pain I'm in sitting at my desktop.

I decided to stop being lazy and start working on it. Wish me luck. They have someone who is helping me out with what I don't know. I certainly don't know a lot. I'm going to need plenty of help. I just got a home page setup with the company name and an about page. Just have to find out where to put the about page on the site.

It's tough for me to get to stand up after sitting there for a while.

Maybe time to invest in a new laptop and one of those adjustable stand. I bought one of those adjustable stands for working in bed or sitting or standing. It will support a light laptop or iPad. But you have to be comfortable if you are going to be working for hrs in the same spot. I tell my wife that, she sits in the same spot in a chair design for just for having dinner. Forget that, I work anywhere in the house including outside or the beach. But I on a IPad.

Continue on with the site but actually you could use a Facebook business page which would be easier to manage & update. And sent your clients there or just have a landing page and link to your Facebook business page. Although it easier to create websiteS in still takes a lot of time and expertise/experience to come up what something nice. Then you have to know how to update and maintain it if you have someone else do it for you.

We've reccomended a Facebook page for while now, every time the website is bright up.

Just as we've reccomended smaller gear for someone with health issues who does events with relatively small crowds

And modem LED lights that are lighter😄

Thanks to the member suggesting I get another laptop to use to go online to do the work to create the website. Great Ideal since I can't sit at my desktop too long because of my health conditions. I was looking at a used one the guy that I got my desktop from has for $249. It's a Dell with 8 gigs of ram. I plan on getting that one to use because I don't want to use either one of the laptops I use to DJ with to do this.

You can work on the website with a tablet or cell phone but you will need to pull it you on all three to see how it looks on each, cell phone, table & laptop/desktop. With godaddy’s s/w it automatically creates the cellphone formatted site. Get the right content, format & photos is goingto really be the hard part. If you don’t have a idea of exactly you what in your website both content in photos then format it’s going to be a very hard job. Its like trying to build a house without detailed plans.

Why not? That whole "My DJ computer NEVER goes online" thing is so impractical in 2020. There's no need to spend $250 on a laptop just to work on a website that you might not even finish. You've already got a perfectly capable laptop in your possession and you're using a free online website builder.

If anything, I've found that my laptop runs better when it's used more frequently. If there's ever a decrease in performance, I'll know about it before I get to a gig.

It would be much smarter to invest that $250 into a photographer to take some professional photos for you for a site than to spend money on a new computer.

There is no such thing as a professional looking website if you don't have any decent looking content.

You either need stock photos, or pro photos.

Understood. The problem today is getting events to do. Things are shut down for the most part.

Oh I forgot to post the picture of me. I will add I will take the advice given and use one of my laptops to build the site.

Here is the picture of I put up on the site.
The cropping around your head illustrates the point of using professional pics or a professional photographer.

Well it's been a month Mix lets see the site
