The controller he originally tried to use had an issue with the port in the back not getting the laptop to work. So he switched to a cheap controller that the volume only goes so loud. So everything got turned up to the limit to make up for the loss of volume. In turn causing the system to shutdown or clip. The way to avoid this from happening is to keep the amps running no more than 3/4 of the way up and your levels on the mixing board set properly.Mix,
Any answer to what I asked a few post above? Do you know why the majority of speakers cutoff during the short time I was there? Was that happening throughout the event or just that one time? Was it an issue with the generator, amps, or crossover, or just like a loose wire or something?
What kind of crossover did you guys use? What crossover point did you set the vega’s and yorkvilles?
Thanks in advance for the answers.
