Mix,

Any answer to what I asked a few post above? Do you know why the majority of speakers cutoff during the short time I was there? Was that happening throughout the event or just that one time? Was it an issue with the generator, amps, or crossover, or just like a loose wire or something?

What kind of crossover did you guys use? What crossover point did you set the vega’s and yorkvilles?

Thanks in advance for the answers.
The controller he originally tried to use had an issue with the port in the back not getting the laptop to work. So he switched to a cheap controller that the volume only goes so loud. So everything got turned up to the limit to make up for the loss of volume. In turn causing the system to shutdown or clip. The way to avoid this from happening is to keep the amps running no more than 3/4 of the way up and your levels on the mixing board set properly.

He doesn't like my controller at all. Just like I hate the original Hercules controller he has. If it was up to me I would drop it from the top of the Empire State Building to it survives.
Mix you have a LOT of things you HATE .. that's not good.

Seems odd that a controller makes you good, most of us can easily adapt to any piece of gear quickly and still throw a great party
That controller doesn't have free moving wheels that spin. That's what I'm used to and works best for me to do my mixing. It's simply what I prefer.

I did help a friend out in a club that's no longer around. I was using his dual CD player that I don't care for but I made it work. So much so that a lady came in the back where I was playing and said I was doing a better job than the DJ in the big main room.

Tiesto and Skrillex both told me I did a better job than they did.

I know you're trying to be funny. That club was called Diva and it was on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, NJ. It was around a long time. Not sure how long. I know well over 10 years. I don't know the reason it finally closed its doors and I won't speculate either. I just know that was a nice compliment even though I couldn't be in the other room to hear that DJ play.

Glad Everything went smoothly, wish i coulda made it out to meet you. Wish more people would have showed. Its a big undertaking to organize this, you did it you should be proud. Setup didn't seem like overkill to me yes some things I wouldn't do but overall looks decent for a park setting. Oh and Had my son May 28th! My older son slso in the pic
