In the past couple years TikTok has rose to fame and now is one of the most used and downloaded app on our phones. Although TikTok does have a variety of content, a lot of videos are someway linked to music whether it is people dancing or creating a beat with the comment section. So what im trying to get at is TikTok is heavily influenced by music therefore the songs which are popular on TikTok become popular everywhere, you could even say that TikTok is now the root of chart music . This can be considered a good thing because it can an artist a massive boost in their music carrer for example : Lil Nas X with his song Old Town Road or Olivia Rodrigo with her song Good For U which now have became two very relevant artists. Unfortunately people have abused this by creating songs which are planned to become a trending song on TikTok sort of like a TikTok industry plant. Some of the worse cases in my opinion are artists which are already massively famous and now are making it harder to become a relevant music artist like Drake or Justin Bieber. Then there's the other side of the argument that is that their just using the tools that they got and you can't blame them for wanting their song to be popular and then using effective method to make that happen. Anyway that's just my take on it what do you guys think?
