I used to do a lot of interactive and still do some interactive stuff during the evening if it fits but no where near as much or as well as he does. It takes a lot of practice to be taht good at it

It’s not my thing, and Ive attended a few of his events as a guest of the couple, I don’t enjoy it, but he is very very good at getting everyone involved. And it’s served him well over the years

Interactive events like this were a little more popular in the 90s and 2000s. In my service area you would find very few couples that want this style for their wedding reception. More popular for bar/bat mitzvahs for sure.

There are still a number of Mitzvah events where an interactive party motivator is brought in to teach group dances, and help with the games.

I can see a couple who is not big on dancing (or drinking) wanting to keep everyone involved and having a different type of experience though. I can actually see religious Christian families doing this at a wedding reception. Going for games, and interactive dances, dance off competitions. If the couple knows they will have a lot of younger kids at the event, this could go over quite well.
