Did a wedding with about 100 guests. Outside ceremony and they also wanted sound on deck during reception.
Rain was threatening. So we set up speakers under a white pop up tent

Connected the s1 pro+’s to each other wirelessly through the ceremony. Lavs on groom and officiant. iPad plugged in for music during ceremony. Then connected them both to a pro16 during the reception on a patio. The s1 pro’s+’s having the built in wireless receiver made this very easy.

Entire event done wirelessly and battery power using 2 Ecoflow river2 pro’s. No need to have long runs of extension cords.
Simple for me. Light, effective gear. Great results for clients😁

"Easy for Me..."
Batteries and no wires to run; and you still couldn't be bothered to produce sound aligned in the correct direction?

It’s another conspiracy, Bob😁

Like all of your other theories, let’s not let the truth get in the way of your story. 😁

Shocker! Something negative from Dwight 😁

It's really simple. If it works for you and gets the job done what does it matter what someone else thinks? There are times when things are not always going to be ideal. That means making adjustments as needed to get the job done.

Do you disclose this priority to potential customers or just wait until you show up to compromise the presentation for your own comfort?

As an attendee, when the presentation is in front of me that's where I expect the sound to come from - not from behind me.
There is no reason a professional could not have easily accomplished this with the equipment described. LAZY isn't something I'd choose to brag about.

Lol…
This is typical Bob. Not knowing the weather, not knowing the restrictions of where the tent could go, the requsts of bride /groom and venue, he just makes a negative assumption that fits his narrative.

Much like the false information he was spewing during the pandemic. Never verified. Just something he read on infowars or something similar. Much better to get a headline than get the truth.

Verifying information and/or providing sources is not something bob feels is necessary. Just keep spewing and spreading misinformation.

He sees or hears things that back up what he wants to believe.

He ignores things that don’t back up his narrative. If it don’t fit…just ignore it😁

When people brought up sources that disputed his narrative, he simply ignored it

That’s my definition of LAZY

I said it how I meant it. I never said not know how things are to be. I said not every event is ideal the way we would like it to be. Now if you agree to do the job you should know the tools needed to get the job done. If you don't have the tools to get the job done then you simply pass on doing the event. I don't see anything wrong with how he did the event. Everything worked the way it should and the event was a success. That's what counts. So what if he used a battery powered device because there was no outlet to plug into? That's the reason why certain items are made the way they are. To do things so that the job gets done. At least he's not using some cheap garbage to get things done that might not either work or fall on him while doing the event.

I agree MixMaster!
The fact remains: sound is coming from the wrong direction.
The system was battery operated and wireless - yet he still couldn't come up with a will or way to meet best outdoor practice.

Fault: Applying an INDOOR approach to an OUTDOOR event. Amateur excuses to readily FORESEEABLE realities.

The fact remains: Bob has been kicked out of just about ever other forum he’s been on in the past 20 years for being rude, and been suspended from here, yet he lives in an alternate reality where the problem has always been someone else.

Fault: Applying his cranky, miserable personality to most of his posts. Paranoid conspiracy theorist not living in reality

None of these projected fantasies speak to the choice of your ceremony speaker placement.
If your going to pretend this site is about the DJ experience then have the professionalism to address actual issues that impact events.

'Kicked out' of anything implies an impartial process, which is certainly not the case - this site itself was created out of a temper tantrum in a previous forum. The perpetual shrinking of quality content and participation owes directly to the door-slamming tantrums of desperately seeking Susan's. "Kicked out" is not an observation - it's your suggestion. It's also unnecessary because you've already succeeded in driving away anyone of substantive experience.
