I got the bug back in me to possibly do internet radio again. I did it a few years back but the problem when I was doing it is that the time slot for me was Sunday night from i-10pm. You get 2 hours to do your thing. So I did it once a week. The time slot for me was no good because at that time playing music in the basement would disturb people in the house.

If I do it again I will need my PC up and running, a ethernet cable to run from my computer to my laptop with the program to get online. My friend can easily set me up with that. He the one who set it up in the beginning.

I think I might do it again if I can get a good time slot. If I do I will make sure I share it on Facebook. All that's needed is to get the things to do it. There's no charge for you playing on there.

Part of the bug came back from my partner yesterday evening doing an opening set at the library in downtown Newark NJ. The setup was awesome. 3 Yorkville 801p subs and 2 tops. It was a packed house and people danced their ass off. They do this every Friday from 6-11pm. That was my first time being there and it was GREAT! They have a free after party at 27 Halsley Street. I definitely want to go there another Friday. Just have to get there early for parking. He did a great job for his opening set. A lot of people were there already to hear him play. I used my phone and took some pictures and video.

OK... Why would you need to make noise in your house doing Internet Radio???... Haven’t you ever heard of HEADPHONES???

I mix music and the sound comes out of a speaker. It's got to be loud enough for you to hear what you're mixing. It can't be don't to a whisper where you can't hear what you're doing.

I can turn my headphones up loud enough to blow my friggin’ head off; not that I’d ever wanna do that![emoji1] Volume should not be an issue. Besides, recording speakers from a microphone is NEVER gonna be as clear as the sound coming from your mixer. Sounds to me like you need a good mixer and some good headphones.

I have great stuff to use. Like I said it has to be loud enough to hear what I'm doing. I'm not saying I have to blast the music but it would be better to do it at a better time instead of starting off at 8pm.

That’s not how you’re supposed to do it... ur supposed to run a line from your mixer to your computers input and get a clean direct signal that way.

I can see using a pair of good studio monitors, but using a loud PA system for producing an Internet radio program sounds a little crazy to me. I’m no expert on the subject, so maybe one of our Radio DJ’s can chime in???[emoji4]

Isn’t it. Of course just placing a computer monitor directly in front of you would be sufficient but dual 15” & a horn with 18” subs would be better. You know you don’t want to get laughed at

He’s gotta use his equipment somewhere I guess.

The setup couldn't have been awesome .. that was far less gear than you used at the park and you said all that was needed. Just a pair of tops?? That can't be done. Oh wait .. that was what we told YOU to use ...

For $20 a month you can run your own station and do it when you feel like and just put it on auto pilot for the rest of the time. For $30 you can do the same and they will provide you with apps so people can listen to your station on their devices. They will even give you templates for station web pages with either
