I went camping Sunday night with a couple of buddies. I brought my Alto battery powered speaker and a thumb drive full of music. Before i got to take it out my buddy pulled out a bluetooth speaker about the size of my hand and put some music on. I sat around drank beer and ate steak and had a good time....Should I have been offended and felt disrespected?
Well, you should be disrespected for using an Alto, but we'll leave that to another day ... :)

I'd merge them all in one thread to contain the craziness but a thread that large might just crash the server. :sqlaugh:
Merged or not, they’re all EXACTLY the same, and I suspect the outcome will be exactly the same as well.
So y'er saying the server's going to crash anyways? Hmmmmm.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah who cares, tell the monkey to bring it on!!!!!

I go to help out a friend. He's having a cookout at his house. So I called him and ask could I bring my setup and play. He said fine. It was for the men he knows.

I bring my controller, laptop and effects machine. The first DJ plays for a couple of hours and had to leave because he had a job in Bethlehem Pa at 11:30 pm. No big deal. I know him. He's a great guy and did a great job.

He ask me was I ready to play. No problem. I play for a little bit and the people there are loving it. My friend gives me a thumbs up. A few minutes later he went and setup his laptop and starts playing. No biggie it's his house. He finished playing and had me play again. I get about 25 minutes and he has another DJ come in and play cutting my time short and the crowd is loving what I was doing.

I felt disrespected. What happened to letting me get a hour to a hour and half staight through and I'm done. Not this crap splitting my time up to play.? I didn't act out but I was highly upset.

Someone there gave me a great compliment and said I was going to piss some people off because how good I am. I thanked him for the compliment.

This other DJ that played after me was no better than me. I just didn't like the way my friend treated me and we've known each other well over 10 years. I'm in Wheequeaway Park for DJ Hutch birthday celebration. I will post a picture later of the setup. The sound is AWESOME! I will post about a couple of other times I was disrespected later.

He should have been praised for bringing the best value speaker on the face of the earth! :)

Alto is not a brand I'd trust. Don't like the degradation at higher levels and refuse to settle for "ok" sound.

Dear Alto fan-boys,

2 ea. hizown & YMMV.

I'm certainly no Alto fan boy, but when I hear someone tell me how bad a speaker sounded, I always wonder how much investigating they did into all of the possibilities in the sound chain that can be responsible for poor sound before putting all of the blame on the speaker😄

I'm not a fan boy by any means and I agree they are a little rough at high levels but they are perfect for ceremonies

Generally from my experience the biggest issue with pro gear is 6 inches behind the mixer ;)

I remember way back when, after I bought my l1's, Someonesaid it was a terrible mistake. He got them on the free trial and they sounded awful. No low end at all. The worst he ever heard... And sent them back.

Someone else asked him if he was sure he was getting anything from the bass bin He said he didn't use the bass bin😄
Oops.
