Please don't laugh to hard at this. Last night I went to help a friend out with a party. He needed another speaker as he doesn't have enough to cover this restaurant he was playing in. So I went there to help out. The party was a fund raiser to help students with a scholarship.

I get there and went to unload the van with the gear I brought. All together I brought over 2k worth of gear with me. I brought some lights, my laptop with my HD, one powered speaker, my camera and wiring. I get in a door that has an elevator. I put the stuff on the elevator. The elevator won't go to the basement and the stairs to the basement had a gated door that was locked. So I went around through the front to access the elevator. I tell the lady working there why I was there and proceeded to the elevator. I get there and don't see the gear in the elevator. So I freak out.

I finally call the police thinking someone has stolen my gear. They get there and the long story short I think someone has moved my van from where I parked it and everything. As it turned out I put the gear on one elevator and there was another elevator in the complex. Both entrances to both elevators looked the same. Nobody stole the gear. I was just at the wrong elevator.

I just told the police please don't laugh to hard when you get back to the station telling that story.

Yes I was planning on taking pictures for the party and wanted to jazz it up with some more lights then just the one Derby he uses. I just brought the wires just in case if they were needed. As it turns out he forgot his mic and mine is in the case.

Also I was thinking of having my birthday party in this restaurant. My birthday isn't until June 2nd. I like the place because it's a small place. You don't need a ton of people in the place to make the party look like it's a success.

The sad part is my friend had a powered speaker up front in another room that the woofer got blown. The 2 big things that caused that is the speaker was being fed to much volume and it was an Alto speaker. A sales man at GC tried to talk me into buying a pair of those crappy speakers. I refuse to even listen to them. I know I wanted something that was for real and not some fake garbage.

So you were planning on taking pictures of someones else gig to pass it off as your own. Great idea.
No my plan was tot take pictures and email them to my friend to post on Facebook to advertise this party and the place.

Mix you don't have to start a new thread every time you want to give us a laugh... We can re-read past posts and still laugh at you.

Speaking of which....haven't seen many posts from YOU lately, Rob!
