Okay, it's time to come clean. I normally don't play the Lotto, but was at Worsham's store (it's about 4 miles from the house) and bought a ticket. $198 million really isn't all that much money after taxes and I promise, I'm not going to let it change me in the least, peasants........

i think a funny thing to do if you do end up with that kind of money....is build your venue as originally planned...on the outside... then on the inside make it look like one of the venue's Taso performs at... really screw with people

If I can ever get the DANG BUILDER onsite.....................I laid down the gauntlet last week and held his feet to the fire that I'm going to fire them if they don't show up by the 24th, as promised (after missing the first date). Man, I'm hoping those jokers show up and get'er done. I really don't want to go thru the hassle of trying to get my money back, then turning around and having to build it myself.

Well, at the very least I have it in writing (email) from the builder that if they don't make the 24th, they'll refund my money. That's been my biggest concern that they don't show and I have to go to court to get my money back ($11k+). I've got a couple of buddies in the area, about my age, who I'm sure would help if I end up DIY on this project. I believe we could knock it out pretty quickly and I'd probably go ahead and make it a 90'X50' instead of 40' wide.

Personally, I think that you should go 90 x 50. That is about the best size ball room in my opinion for most weddings, and gives you more space to be able to do a ceremony on one side, and be ready and set for the reception as well depending on the amount of guests. Harder to to that in a 40 foot wide space.

Since it's not a lot of money to you after taxes, let me get it. Send it to me and I will gladly post on Facebook how nice a guy you are.

Too late, at this point, assuming my builder shows up. They'd already have the order in. If they fail to come thru, I'll switch it to a 50 foot span.
