Huh?Those subs are beast. Using those subs in certain rooms would cause the windows to shatter.
Yeah. Okay if you say so……..

I really think you need to read the BibleI wasn't talking about a club. There are some private events that a sub is needed for things to be done right. There are organizations that have events in a super large space that a sub should be used. I'm talking about a venue that can hold 250-500 people. In a room holding 500 people I wouldn't do the event without a sub. Partly due to the crowd absorbing the sound.
My point was that there are some events that subs are not needed. It would be overkill and sound bad. Those Yorkville 801P subs can produce mind blowing bass. There's a club that has 4 of them in Irvington, NJ. It's on the borderline of Newark and Irvington. It works in there. With those subs you have to be very careful with the bass so that it's not too harsh.Huh?
Yeah. Okay if you say so……..
It sticks is. It's just that it weights 135 pounds. That's a reason some DJs stayed away from it. For a permanent install It's great! That's where you leave it in a place and only move it when it needs a repair or if you plan to change the setup. As great as that sub is, it was not built for mobile DJ work. I guess that's a big reason why they discontinued making them. Besides the weight issue I don't regret buying a pair. How many years have people been posting about over kill? 801P was a great sub back in the day.

You nailed it. When using them it's about proper use. Depending on the model sub used you don't want the subs out performing the tops. The subs should compliment the tops. If that's the case the sound will sound distorted. You won't hear enough of the highs in the tops and it will sound horrible.Used correctly subs never sound bad...But often they aren't needed
Weird my subs and tops have always had separate volume controls, anyone with an ounce of intelligence would know the easiest way to keep subs from out performing the tops would be to turn them down,You nailed it. You're correct because being behind the speakers you can't tell how things sound. When you get in front of the speakers you really get to see if the sound is too loud or not loud enough. You may have to get up out of your chair & walk out front of the speaker & turn a knob or two?
Yes that is part of a sound check again common sense, I’ve used small systems with small subs and large systems with large subs, the key is to have the proper system for the event at hand,You're correct because being behind the speakers you can't tell how things sound. More too sound than loud Mixxy. You're correct because being behind the speakers you can't tell how things sound. When you get in front of the speakers you really get to see if the sound is too loud or not loud enough.
Do you not have the basic skills required to modify a case? Or at least after all these years a connection who can do it’ll for you?Let me say this. I was thinking why haven't a manufacturer make a case for a controller with either holes in the back or a section in the back to run wires through so it looks better than having wires on top of the bottom of the case. That I see would look better and not stretching the wires out of shape.
No.Do you not have the basic skills required to modify a case? Or at least after all these years a connection who can do it’ll for you?
I added a powercon and rca inputs along with XLR outputs I’m glad they are not included as it allows me to place them exactly where I need them
Lots of cases/coffins have metal plates on the back with the company name on them. If you take out one or both screws it reveals a hole for cables.why haven't a manufacturer make a case for a controller with either holes in the back or a section in the back to run wires
It’s pretty easy, any local DJ shop with a repair department should be able to accomplish this for a fee
The harmony cases don’t they are a budget case decent quality low on featuresIt’s pretty easy, any local DJ shop with a repair department should be able to accomplish this for a fee
I don't know. I did notice it's a bit heavy. I will be taking it out to do an event on Friday. I'm getting ready to leave now for a meeting. I will put the controller in the case before I leave. The harmony cases don’t they are a budget case decent quality low on features
