I hope I can make it to do the event on Saturday..

Get to the venue to go in and setup and the place isn't open yet. The event starts at 4 pm and it's 2:45pm. So if we don't start exactly on time not our fault. The person is on their way open the place. Real tacky to me. Just relax and do what we do.

Unless you found out beforehand that they would be open, then it is your fault. It is your duty to make sure the facility will be able to let you setup to allow you to start on time. If the facility will not allow you setup time, then it is also your duty to let the client know of this PRIOR to the event.

The DJ j must not be all that important ? i,m Under the belief that mucho just shows up so as to have a gig and a captive audience & have a hobby.
Put him in another room from the event?? Playing to a empty room? Feeding ego! Ambulance chasing!

The DJ may be totally important. Maybe the client didn't know the facility would not be open. Regardless, it is his duty to ensure that he can meet his requirements and to let the client know if he cannot. The client does not know how much time it will take him to setup, so this is not on the client.

Wrong totally. Others came here to do what they do setting up for the event I'm doing and other DJs in the first room and they were expecting it to be open. I was setup ready to go and the people were still decorating the room with chair covers and other things.

Did you find out the hours the facility would be accessible before hand, yes or no? Actually speak to someone or visit the venue?

Do me a big favor. Read the thread about the event I made and that will explain the issue and what happened.
I think the issue is YOU HAVE TO EXPLAIN almost every gig you post .. that's a giveaway ..

I don't have to stroke my ego to impress anybody on here or someone else.
Mix, stroking your ego is the basis of almost every one of your posts .. you just fail to recognize it ..
