I hope I can do the event tomorrow.

MIx, you need to further you music knowledge so you can accommodate all types of events, including kids, drop the partner and use the controller of your choice.

By doing away with then things that cause you problems, you would have much less drama, much less stress and probably less health issues. My observation.
I concur Bob!!

You live at White Castle?
I live 3 doors away. Let me get back to this. I still have the tooth ache as I couldn't get the 2 teeth that need to be pulled today. The dentist office I went to said I have to get the OK from my doctor because I had the hip replacement surgery and might need antibiotics. I got an appointment to see my doctor tomorrow and after that I can call to get an appointment to get the teeth pulled. The good news is my copay for this is less than $115 for both teeth. I will definitely be going back there again.

The last dentist office I went to said the copay was $65 to pull a loose tooth. Months later I got a bill in the mail for $168. I called the office and they tell me that's a copay. That's a lie! That's the part the insurance wouldn't pay. So the person in the office was to lazy to contact the insurance company to find out how much the total cost would be that I would have to pay. They just wanted money right away in this super small office. So I will never go back there ever for them BSing me. I'm retired. So I'm on a tight budget. They don't give a damn. All they know is we need money to pay our bills. No s*** me too.

The controller marketing gods have decided controllers need to be really large these days and rack-mounting doesn't seem to be a requirement. I think it's a mistake that someone isn't making gear for that market as I don't have a need for anything larger, so will string the Denon along as long as I can.

On a more serious note...

I think it's less about the marketers, and more about the sales. If they were selling enough of the rack mounted solutions... somebody would still be making them. I've always viewed Denon as the company that was willing to cater to the mobile DJ more than Pioneer was. And for whatever reason... Denon is too busy trying to pee in Pio's pool on the club side with the Prime series.

Sadly... as good as their gear is, I don't think it'll ever become a standard. Unless Pioneer totally falls off... clubs replace their gear way less often than mobile DJs do.

LOL, everytime I hear him say that, I wanna say the same exact thing... but I just tend to keep my mouth shut. Guess I wasn't the only one
I have no issues with what you use or someone else. I just like that the controller I use is perfect for me. I kick major butt mixing on that controller.. I'm 61 so if I have a job I do myself I can maneuver easily with what I have including the case it's in.

My partner bought the Numark NS 7. That controller is very nice but much too heavy for mobile work we found out. He had it in a case with wheels. It took two people to lift it into the van. At the time he was living on the second floor and it was a B getting it up and down the stairs.

I say this regularly. It's not just about what you use. It's about knowing what to do with what you use. You can have a top of the line controller like what you have. If you don't know what you're doing it won't matter.

Don't tell my partner this. We were playing together one night at the Private Place Lounge and using his NS 7. I beat him playing that night. I was in a zone. LOL.

One of the guys who helped me out in the park had me play for a few minutes to give him a break. He had the nerve to ask me do I know how to use Serato. I told him I will slap the s*** out of him next time he ask me that question.

I say having a big controller is for show.

So anyone who uses a big controller is doing it just for show...

oh wait... unless your partner has one...and you use it...and " beat him on it"

oh wait... no....its not actually about the controller now...its about how you use it... or were you just using his controller for show?

im so confused...

So how much did you quote her to do the backyard gig?

cc

how much did you quote her for the backyard party?
I don’t think you will ever get that answered. I’m still waiting for the check that was magically found and deposited to turn up as counterfeit, and mix owing the bank. This guy should really write fiction books. If he’s not making up the shit that he post about, his life is total chaos.

You are confused. Reread what I posted and read slowly.

It's all about what anyone of us feels comfortable with using. What one DJ feels comfortable with using, another would stay clear away from even think about using. Different DJs have different mixing styles. A friend of mine tried to get me to mix the way he does. I do it my way and it works for me.

As far the NS 7 he gave that to his son he told me. I think it eventually got sold.. My partner bought a touchscreen PC to DJ with using VDJ. When he first bought it and got it setup I tried it. It wasn't for me at all. I couldn't even come close to getting things right. I use mine and I'm great with it.

The check was lagit. I went to a check cashing place to cash the check and it was done. The lady just had to contact Plymouth Rock to verify the check was good. From now on I won't just assume it's a bill collector. I thought they were looking to get me to pay them something.
