You might want to check post #62 where Macho addresses his own people as That post wasn’t cleaned. I think that I’ve lost all the respect that I had left for that guy. No wonder why all he touches turns to shit.
That's what was cleaning and I just cleaned that one too ;). I must have missed 62

Whether you felt it or not, you were legally discriminated against. It happens, as I stated.

I wasn't concerned with your feelings, Alice.
Considering I am one of many that have entered a secured Gov't building (your chosen example, not mine), you should absolutely be concerned, Betty.

I was referring to reality and law.
As was I - you can't choose where it applies and where it doesn't.

You created that prejudiced reference in your mind. No one used that or any other derogatory term to discuss this matter...revealing but predictable.
That term is not mine. Looks like you need to do more reading.

Your ignorance is boundless and seemingly infinite in these matters. You know little if anything about discrimination law but attempt to espouse on it and you know nothing of me or my practices/behavior but choose imply that I, immorally and illegally, as you foolishly seem compelled to characterize, discriminate. I do not do as you allege.
Unless you are a professional lawyer, then you are no more informed than anyone else here.

However, I definitely discriminate. Clients that want my service but want me to provide some activity that I choose not to provide do not get my service. That is an ethical act of discrimination.
You don't get it - if you do not provide a service that people are legally entitled to, equally and fairly, then you certainly can be on the losing end of a court battle. Even if you 'win', the only ones that truly win in court are the lawyers.

Your own word validate my statements and YOUR IGNORANCE AND PREJUDICES ARE SHOWING...yet again.
This truly demonstrates the lack of what you know. You claim 'know nothing of me or my practices/behavior' - but you somehow believe to know of others and their practices/behavior. Hmm.

The Baker you refer to has been vindicated as the suit against him and all/any charges have been dismissed/dropped.
Vindicated or not - you have no idea the level of grief and legal crap this person has been through. Additionally, this was not a landslide victory. This was a Supreme Court level divided decision - and if you read the details, it ruled in favor of him simply because of a State's technical fault, not because he was right or wrong - 'The justices ruled that a state civil rights commission was hostile to him while allowing other bakers to refuse to create cakes that demeaned gays and same-sex marriages'. This is not as cut and dried as you're trying to paint it. The Supreme Court also stated 'A vendor can choose the products he sells, but not the customers he serves — no matter the reason'. It also did not say that he could not be tried again if put in the same situation. Do you have enough time, money and resources to take a lawsuit to the Supreme Court? Looks like you are the one that is misinformed and need to do some more reading, Betty.

Just because some whiny assoles file a frivolous civil law suit, doesn't validate, establish or prove their frivolous claims. The dismissal does, however, establish the complete asshollyness of said claims!
It does if you lose your business over it. The specific case discussed was a 5 year legal battle, with no winners.

How ironic is it that Mix states profitable business change the markets they cater to and begin allowing in (EDIT)(had to look that up on urban dictionary....wow, who would cater to that crowd?) But in the company he cites, he says that on the night he performed for the mature, money spending crowd AND all of the people that wanted to witness DJ Machoman in all his glory still lost the company money. So, it seems that it was NOT a profitable business, hence them changing the marketing strategy and target markets. And, just as an FYI....many places that cater to "mature" crowds begin to fade as the age group stops going out or begins to leave earlier to get to bed. And the next generation of "mature" typically doesn't like the same things.

I said the crowd in the beginning at that party was a nice crowd looking to enjoy themselves. When the owner said let certain people come in to the party those people who were there at the beginning quickly left. They didn't want to be around that kind of crowd. Like I said once they left so did their money. I just told some people I worked with and knew about the party and they showed up. It was a good say 40+ people that showed up when the back bar on a Saturday night was dead in that place.

I say how she lost money is those people who were there in the beginning wasn't coming back there with that mess in the place. So that's how she lost money. That cash register was jumping when they were in there. When they left things slowed down.

Where have you been you're late to the discussion? Nothing wrong with a place making money. Of course they need to do that to stay in business. The thing I've seen happen is this. A place will have a nice mature crowd coming in the place making them money to keep the place up and running. The mistake some places make is when they start letting a certain crowd come in chasing the nice people out of the place and in most cases not to return. So they loose that money and to make up for that they let anybody with money come in the place.

A lot of those people don't spend the same amount of money the other people that got chased out of the place did. Eventually the place turns into a bunny mess and the police get tired of coming to the place to keep the peace. They hit them with enough fines after repeatedly get called to the place. They make sure the fines are so hefty that the owners can't pay and that gets the place closed down, sometimes for good.

We were asked to come do a party in a bar that I had my 50th birthday celebration. After that because of how great a job we did we were asked to come back a few more times. This last time we came there and almost never did the party because the bar had no security. We did the party and things were going great. People spending money and having a good time. A lot of people came there because they knew me.

The owner blew it big time and lost a lot of money that night. At a certain point she said let the bunnies in to the party in the back. Soon after that the nice people attending the party left because they didn't want to be in there with that kind of crowd. So when they left, so did their money and not to return. Those other people weren't spending money like the first group that was there. So she lost money that night both ways instead of making more money like she thought she would. Nothing we could do because she owned the place. Yet when she let that crowd come in we knew what was going to happen and it did.
In general, the "nice mature crowd" just DOESN'T spend enough money. They rarely order expensive meals (if the place serves food) and tend NOT to drink higher end wine and fancier cocktails. They are NOT the kind of crowd you'd want if you wanted or needed to make money in a nicer area.

Law suit my azz. What would you rather have a lawsuit or your place being closed down for good.? Who told you that you can't be selective? It's your place to run how you see fit to keep the doors open.
Refuse to let someone in?
For what reason?
Because they MIGHT cause trouble?
Because they LOOK LIKE they might cause trouble.
Yep! That's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I'm pretty sure most people who get into a fight in a bar, didn't PLAN on getting in a fight that night.
And if they DID plan on starting a fight, they certainly wouldn't make it obvious to the guy at the door.
What most places do, is enact a dress code, specifically tailored to keep out bad elements.
It's a "legal" way to keep them out, but it certainly won't stop a bad element from dressing better to get in.

That's just it. They don't know about dressing up. They go to funerals dressed like anything goes. They go there in white tees and work boots. So getting them to dress up is highly unlikely because they don't know what that is. So you said a mouth full there.

Wow Man. Very inappropriate........
I'm not going to apologize for what I said. Let me say this. The night of that party in the bar one of the guys who came back there told me I better play some good s***. I had to watch my attitude because I wasn't in my neighborhood and I could have seriously gotten hurt by saying what I wanted to say.

While I might have said it in this thread, I certainly did not bring it here. You were never really good in comprehension and history class, were you?

You better get to readin' then.

You don't do much readin' or comprehendin', do ya? Stacked next to some of your piles, mine is nothing. Historically, the 'tackhead' spokesperson is right up there with ya.

OK @MIXMASTERMACHOM I'm asking nicely once not to use racist or derogatory terms I just spent 20 minutes cleaning up this thread. Were pretty lenient on whats said here but that crossed the line. There won't be a second warning

You might want to check post #62 where Macho addresses his own people as That post wasn’t cleaned. I think that I’ve lost all the respect that I had left for that guy. No wonder why all he touches turns to shit.

Who are my people? I meant that for those that act a certain way. It really has to do with what they have been taught and used to seeing. Sure some are brought up the right way. One thing I will say that bothers me today. What about those who disrespect their parents and the law says if you do something to them you will get locked up.

So some parents are afraid of their children for fear of being arrested. When I was growing up I was taught to respect your elders. I remember a mother and daughter on TV talking about they faught for 10 minutes. If I tried that I wouldn't be here to talk to anybody about anything.
