That's a wonderful question to ponder. Think of all the things that happen when someone is nice to you. Why, it's all over the place here. We joke, critique, criticize and we always manage to be nice, or we always come back to nice. Shouldn't we develop the same type of relationship with our clients? Simply being nice is a great thing.

How much does it cost when you aren't nice? Loads.

Dave

How can I help you increase your business? Ask.

No I paid $50 to be nice to someone else.

OK I was maybe stupid I told a girl she could get a beer and put it on my tab. At the end of the night my tab was $41 so including tip it cost me $50.

Of course I did get a return on my money. LOL

The cost for me to be nice is way more than I am willing to pay :)

Last time I was nice to someone I didn't know it cost me $177.00

I sold a Mackie Sub to a guy, we talked on the phone over an hour. I told him I would get it shipped out the next morning. He ask if I would check to see how much more to ship it 2nd day UPS. So the next morning I was at the shipper, and got a price to ship 2nd day. I called the guy and told him the extra amount, he said great go ahead and do it he would send the extra amount ($177,00) with PayPal. So I was nice and shipped it, paid the difference. Never got the additional PayPal payment, no more Mister Nice Guy here. I've called and emailed no response. I trusted him, but you know he had trusted me to ship a good sub to him.

$177 to ship something?

Where the hell was it going, Russia? lol

The total shipping cost was $277.00, it was a 111 lbs packed, a Mackie SRS 1500 sub, shipped 2nd day from Huntsville, AL to North Brunswick, NJ via UPS.

Regular ground shipping was just a little $100.00 which I had included in the price of the sub.

Ummm......not exactly what I was thinking about, but it is interesting.

Nice may not finish first in all events, but you sure can sleep better at night. That is, after all the pissed off feeling goes away.

Dave

I'll try to explain EXACTLY what I was hoping for later. Wait.....Ben, Kat and Jitterbug Jenny.

DJSAZON1,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. It doesn't cost anything to be nice, but it sure does cost a LOT when you arent. Simple gestures can make the difference between being the person who gets the job and the one who doesn't. Nice is priceless. AWESOME.

When I mentioned Ben, Kat and Jitterbug Jenny, they are nice, no denying that. They are responsive, friendly and I've NEVER seen a coarse word from any of them. They get it, customer service beyond the mission statement makes all the difference.

Be nice. Watch what happens.

Peace.

Dave

I have sent emails asking how much is he enjoying the sub, and how well is he sleeping at night.

Well at least that was nice. It must have been one of those "other Chat board" DJs:sqlaugh:
