Just a simple question... I went with the Rockville Rockwedges and looking for the best way to transport them. There is no real good case that Rockville sells. They have the 6 light hard-rolling case, and then just bags with soft dividers. I was thinking about buying a hard-shell rolling case and then ordering some polyethylene foam and cutting it myself to fit the lights. Anyone have any better solutions out there that you're using?

If those two options don't work (I have an 8 light hard rolling road case, and 2 soft padded bags for 4 lights for my towers/staging), then do what a friend of mine did... bought an skb style case with padding and custom fitted them. It was heavier than the padded bags, but much lighter than the hard road case and offered similar protection.

I have Eternal CubeEcho-type fixtures. 6 of them fit perfectly in one of these $9 Sterlite totes. While these don't offer the same level of protection as a road case, they weigh nothing and they're good enough to protect my lights on a ride to the venue with my other gear.

I need to be able to carry my lights up and down stairs. I also need the fitment in my SUV to be as compact as possible, so I went with the ADJ F8 par bag! I noticed that the price on it has not gone up in 3 years which is a plus! I can get 6 of my Rainbow 6x18 watt Smart 2 mini lights in each bag. The bags get heavy with those lights, in them, but with your rock wedges should be relatively light!

Plastic crates from U-line. 4 lights per crate. 10 of them.

Thanks for all of the feedback guys. I found these bins last night during one of my many weekly trips to Wal-Mart and decided to give it a shot. I can fit 6 wedges in there standing with room for foam. I'm going to order some foam today and see if i can trim it to fit. I'll try to post some pictures in a week or two of the final product. These are 12 gallon Hyper-Tough brand totes. Feel pretty solid, easily stackable, and I think they were $11 a piece.

The Rainbow Smart 2 Mini's are the same size as CubeEchos... I have 20 Smart 2 minis as well. Do they fit in those bags with the yokes attached?

Yes, I can get 6 of them in each bag. With the power cables in the side of the bag, and remotes, I am guessing it weighs like 40 lbs per bag.
