Still getting a lot of mileage out of "The Bartman"

I loved that song when I was like 10 years old!
With that said, I think this new country line dance song will gain SOME Steam. It might retain a following in areas where country music is prevalent.
I certainly like the "Hoe Down" part of the dance! That will attract the kids.
This is not going to have main stream power like Cha Cha Slide or Cupid Shuffle or Electric Slide have. It's a bit slow for starters. The ppular ones are faster, and just real easy to do. ...This has more involved, and will have a higher level learning curve to learn how to do.
Also with that said: Cha Cha Slide came out back in 2000, and that had a "SLOW" start as a line dance. I am pretty sure I did not play it in 2000 at all. Even in 2001 I don't think I played it. The song spent 5 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and only made it to #83 when it came out. It was like 18 to 24 months later that people started getting into dancing to it at events and weddings. I believe my first time playing it was in 2002. It seemed more popular to me between 2005 and 2012 for dancing than it was the first 4 years it was out! Now back then we did not have youtube and social media to help get things noticed very fast. BUT...IT took like 3-4 years for Cha Cha Slide to really hit Main stream playing at events as far as I can remember.
Macarena was catchy and hit right away back in 93. The music video was like #1 on MTV for quite a while. Cupid Shuffle became popular almost right away, but that came out in 2007, and was huge on cruise ships so vacationers got a big taste of it for a number of years. Still very popular today along with Cha Cha SLide, but I would say Cupid Shuffle is even more desired than Cha Cha Slide by partiers.
I don't think this song will break through to main stream playing at events, but I think in areas where Country Line Dancing is big, this will become a part of the playlist.
