Yesterday I went to Micro Center to buy a couple of SD cards. I bought a 32 and 64 gig Micro Center brand SD cards and paid less then $12 for both. I was amazed at how little they cost. The price went down. I bought the regular SD cards that I woll use with my Canon T3i I know they are not what a professional photographer or videographer would use but they do work. I'm not either one. I'm a DJ. So it's npt that serious to me. Because of the camera I use some people think I'm a photographer. I just have a decent camera. It's not what a high quality professional photog would use but it works for me. Especially since I'm just a novice at this.

Now I remember being in Unique Photo and they had an SD card costing $99. I don't remember the size. I just know I wouldn't buy it only because I get lucky sometimes taking pictures and video. I was in there and saw a lens in there for $7,000. That's enough to buy a decent DJ system.

On Amazon, 32g $8.74, 64g $9.99, so you are paying 30%-40% more than today's going prices.

That might of been a great price years ago. Today, not so much.

Depends on what class the memory card is to determine if it’s a good deal or not. Most cameras need a class 10 and certain write speed for hd videos.

I just took my partner today to Micro Center and he got a Micro Center brand 128 SD card for $16.99 plus tax. They have other brands that are for the pros. For us that's good enough. The other ones cost a whole lot more and say extreme pro and so on. If I was taking pictures and videos as a professional I would buy those instead. I used to like the ones that you could take pictures with one and another for videos. That's so that if I has the same size card I could tell which one had pictures and which ones had videos.
