Have we reached a new low for music ?

Song is OK .. music video I wouldn't play ..

I listened to the tune without looking at the video and liked it. Kind of has an 80s feel to me.

I was thinking mid 90s Madonna when I first heard it

I wouldn't say we've hit a new ''low'' because some people love that kinda stuff although i would say the artists aren't merely as ( i guess you could say ) clever as the artists back in the day because they were more like musiciens they had an understanding of music which was no even is still to this day incredible. One thing which i think is forgotten is the production of the song i have so much respect for the producers even if there just good with a computer and can make just some simple beats. So in conclusion everyone has their own taste and opinions like i'm sure you guys don't like drum and bass but i love and that singers these days are artists but back in the day more like musiciens. Have a nice day everyone, stay positive test negative ;)

I don't think there has been a catchy, popular, easy-to-dance-to, non-offensive, all-age Top 40 song in YEARS!

(ala Uptown Funk)

Can't Stop the Feeling is the closest thing in a while and it was 2016.

That might just be the very last popular one!

Not sure if it qualifies, BUT...Despacito came out in 2017...I don't think anybody was offended by it, and not sure if it is age appropriate for little kids, but have seen little kids dancing to it.

Uptown Funk does talk about Liquor, but we can ignore that part, and consider it all age appropriate! :)

Dua lipa and Doja cat have had some great ones. David guests just came out w a great remake to Whitney Houston’s how will I know.

DaBaby isn't helping Levitating right now. But you're right it had that potential.

It’s been on many of my request lists the last two months, but that’s not even the only song I’m getting requested for.

New Rules is dope too, but it's basically a break up song. Some dance crowds don't care, but I'm always a little sensitive to that at weddings. I didn't play Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart when that was a banger either for a similar reason. Maybe I'm over thinking it.

LOL I’ve been playing shaggys it wasn’t me and been getting awesome reactions to that... but late night when people have been drinking quite a bit and appreciate the throwback

There's no doubt your crowds seem to act more like a club crowd. I get good reactions to that too when I play it elsewhere.

I LOVE Uptown Funk. When it came out, I just knew it was going to burn the floor up. I don't know about you guys but from my perspective it has always been a dud. Nobody knows how to dance to it.
