I got a chance to take Bryan & Ashley to check out a lecture by Chuck D. We have not had a chance to cross paths since the New Music Seminar back in around 1989. My daughter said she finally found someone who could talk more than me. Of course, they didn’t believe he used to MC sweet-16s with my company back when we were in High School. Actually, we were on the track team and in the same homeroom. One of the things he mentioned was how a lot of schools cut our music programs. The music program was really big when we were in school. Instruction, testing, Band, Orchestra, everything. But what I liked was when he told one aspiring artist to learn how to to play instruments and learn music history.
