Had to improvise

my ceremony rig was missing from the van (thanks ex wife) so, no lab mics. I put an sm58 on a stand, shooting straight up and between the officiant and bride & groom. I never do this for the sake of pics but doggone if that didn’t sound wonderful and it wasn’t that obtrusive either. I actually got compliments on ceremony sound and that never happens. Just wow.

Outside.

On today's wedding, I had the wireless. Tested out, no problems. When the officiant went to speak, no signal. Dead, completely dead. Switched out to a hand-held and when I got it to him, dead. I'm already on pins & needles, having to work with the soon to be ex. Already got jumped on by the venue manager. I'm at the start of the reception now and just cannot wait for this one to be over.
