Greek dance songs?

The contact told me "No, they won't be doing the circle dance." I still do have some of the more common greek tracks (from another event) available, in case they change their minds.

I have to tell you, I'm kinda dreading this one. The contact has been a hot mess, very scattered and wants to pick all the songs yet, she won't pick the dang songs! Even the ones she's picked and texted to me, she's changed 3 times each and everything is being sent via SMS (PITA). I had to tell her "Please do not wait until the day of." Fortunately, it's a pretty low-key place and I've already been paid. Just another night in the trenches.
If their not doing the circle dance, which means absolutely nothing, becaase they're 95% all circle dances lol, then I would just avoid it completely. It typically means they don't know the steps and don't want to be embaressed. If they don't want traditional... then I also highly doubt they want modern greek songs. Meaning... as Pro said... they probably don't need any greek music.

I understand your pain because this wedding is Saturday and today as I'm typing this it's almost Thursday. That means 2 days to prepare. Ugh. Just do your best to find out as much as you can about the music from the friend or mother if you can and hope for the best. Good luck or what I like to say because you've been doing this a long time good skills.

No .. but I've had gypsies steal my sunglasses in Spain.

Should be an interesting evening. The venue manager's comment this morning was "They have plenty of money. Cost is not an object." Keep in mind, this was a last minute pickup for her as well. We didn't have the chance to vet the prospect much at all.

Regardless, we owe our resident "Greek" DJ a ton of thanks for setting us straight about Greek music...I appreciate the lesson. A couple years ago I did a graduation party for the owner of a Grecian restaurant here in town. Many older folks attended as well as a dozen or so teenagers. The owner was kind enough to give me a list of Greek music artists and songs. I could have used DJTaso's advice back then.

How about the song with words "gypsy woman"...I can't recall the song at the moment, but I'll get back to you when it comes back into my brain. LOL

Last night's gig turned out great, no greek and no gypsy anything. Lots of "pretty people", although they were a slow start. By the end of the night, lots of dancing and my "Circle of Love" ended the night perfectly (and the venue got some great video to showcase). Loved the balloons and the King/Queen chairs. Man, I wish I had some of those for my place.

BTW, this is a historic mansion property. The event space is a tent, attached to the back patio area.
