Just picked up a replacement DMX doggle for Freestyler... my Vellman was not behaving correctly due to a loose USB connection....
I've never really liked the construction of the Vellman being all plastic with the USB connection exposed like it is.... so I bought an Enttec Pro...
Of course the Enttec requires a 5-pin to 3-pin adapter to work on standard DMX fixtures...
I have yet to use it on any lights but, installation was a bit different... instead of pretty much being plug-n-play like the Vellman was... it works via comm ports instead of just being seen on the USB.... initially I couldn't get Freestyler to see it..... and it was giving me an error...
So I went into My Computer's properties and re-assigned it to a different comm port.... and then it worked....
I like it's compact construction and the fact that they used a metal case instead of plastic... and the USB connection is much more secure inside the case... same as the DMX IN/Outs.... I guess you can feed another DMX source into the box.... but, not really sure why you'd want to do this...
Aside from street testing this on Saturday it looks to be a much better device.
