Google maps, grrr!

Interesting. I never even thought about it. Not really worried either way. For some reason, I thought the imagery was being re-shot every 6-8 months (like in a grid fashion). Seems odd that they would only scan the more populous areas more often.

How much has changed beside your venue?

I think you mean I-65, up near Huntsville, don't you. Yea, that cake and their signage screams cornball.
It might be cornball as you put and I bet it is since I've never seen it. The point is having something outside the venue that people riding by will notice, maybe stop take a picture and talk about when they get where they are going.

Where your venue is, is there a lot of traffic riding by your venue? I ask that because when picking a place for a venue like what you have there needs to be heavy traffic going by the venue. That's so that even if someone doesn't know about the place, passing by they may see the place and either want to check out the place or remember where it's at. One very important thing is parking. A place needs to have plenty of parking or they won't want to be bothered with the place. That's including not having to park somewhere and have a long walk to get to the place.

Street view (photographed by a vehicle), yes. Satellite, should be on a set schedule/rotation.
Satellite gets hampered by clouds/storms/etc. so even when an area is set to be refreshed, the images might not be useful.

It's a "country" venue with many things outside .. you really don't want traffic going by normally.

our cabin was built in 2016, Google maps doesn't have it. Apple maps shows it and the gravel road in front

You do if you want lots of people passing by notice your place. I got to double check and see if he has a picture of the entrance to the place and does it have a sign over the front doors for people to see the name of the place. It would be nice if the sign was lighted in some way for when it gets dark outside so people can see the sign so it brings people to notice the sign and thus notice the place.

No .. you want advertising to get them to come to it. People looking for a wedding venue generally don't just drive around .. they get suggestions, they do searches .. so you need to be "there" (on the search results) not on a billboard or sign. It's not the same as a White Castle ... :)

I get that and you're right. He has told us that this venue is not just for a weddings. It's for other events as well. Still an attractive sign won't hurt. A sign that says classy not trashy. There's more than one way to skin a cat.

Suggesting animal cruelty renders your opinion invalid and Who are you to judge trashy people?

Your use of the term "attractive" is contrary to current mores [mawr-eyz] where any judgment based on outward appearance is worthy of cancellation and censoring.

Also,
"a weddings"

What the hell are you talking about? I suggested a sign with the name of the place on it so people attending an event there will know that is the place. Just leaving that part blank doesn't make sense to me and he said he bought letters to use for a sign that tells the name of the place.
