Go Rack

I think there is still some use in a system that has little controls (say just a laptop and a simple controller) .. the EQ, sub synth and system compression might come in handy .. as might the stereo to mono conversion. But a number of the features belong in different parts of the signal chain. For example, feedback suppression should be on mics only and not at the end of the signal chain where it would also affect music .. and it should be a little finer in its corrections. Compression is also better served on the source, like a mic, than on the system output.

I keep mine in the gig bag (and a Behringer Shark) "in case" .. it was worth the $30 they closed out at.

I have mine. It was an impulse buy, LOL. I used it at home ONCE. ...I have never brought it to a gig yet. I don't foresee myself really using it.

I keep the Go Rack and a Samson SM4 mixer (with wireless mic) in my gig bag as a 3rd backup. Gives me most things I would need in a very compact space.

I don’t own a Go Rack... musta somehow missed that one.[emoji1] I keep my Behringer Shark in the bag with the laptop that serves as a 3rd backup for both of my systems. Honestly, I haven’t thought much about what I’d do with it at a gig, so perhaps not so useful until I have some kind of a plan for using it.[emoji1]

As the say, you don't need it until you do. I have 3 of the Sharks .. don't use them much anymore since I got the Sabine feedback reducers, but they come in handy every so often. I remember at least twice over the years I was asked to connect to a house PA system (so music/speech could be heard in far corners). Both places (a gym area and an event hall) had just a mic input, so I used the Shark to convert the audio line output to mic level .. worked great .. though as I recall, both places had really poor ceiling speakers.

I keep 1 in the bag for delay purposes mostly.

I like DBX GoRack's. Like many, I got mine for $30.00 including shipping when they were closed out.
In fact, I like mine so much that I'll but yours if it's $30.00 including shipping.
Not holding my breath!

I'd love to get rid of mine for $30.
The current actual "what it sold for price" on ebay for GoRack's is $120 to $220, but if you are really willing to sell yours for $30 shipped, just tell me where to send the money. I can PayPal.

Mine is still in the rack, but not used. The feedback eliminator seemed to do nothing and the compressor, about the same. Frankly, my K10s match up well to my subs without a crossover so I see no reason to introduce something else that could go wrong into the chain. Guess I should pull it out of the rack to save the weight.

I run mine only on the mic channel - no music goes through it. IMHO, the mic preamps in it are good, and the anti-feedback setting of "3" also works good.

Wow, maybe you shouldn't have told me that!

I have one, and not sure I how feel about it, havent used it yet, maybe I should sell it for a nice little profit ( wish I hadnt thrown the box out two weeks ago)

Never bought one.
I had Behringer compressor/limiter for a while...
and took it out because I didn't use it all that much.
The EQ I use has feedback detection, so I didn't really need to buy a GoRack

[EDIT]
What I was trying to say is....the more items you have in your audio chain...
the more chances there are for failure.
