Gear you regret selling

Most of the gear I ever sold was bought to be sold I'd pick it up on a deal from a DJ/Sound company going out of business. I might pick pieces of it like a mic or something the rest would be flipped.

I recently sold an NX55 system I can't say I regret selling as such but I did feel a little attachment selling it as with you it was about 15 years no trouble and over a thousand shows

Really the only stuff I sort of regret selling is my turntable set with Technics D1s and a Numark DM 1800 in the really compact case. All of that was sold off when I upgraded to 1200s and a Rane MP 24. The case loaded was twice the size & 3x the weight. But that was industry standard and we many different guest DJs using the equipment The1200s & Rane mixer are gone but that damn big case is still here. I got twice what I originally paid for the 1200s. Then sold the dust covers & even the boxes separately and got more money for them.

When I had a partner we had a pair of Cerwin Vega V30s. Now those were something I regret not having, somehow when we stopped working together he ended up with the speakers. What he did with them after we broke up, IDK. Theres a bunch of items I really can’t remember where they went, likely everything was sold off. There used to be a huge market for used equipment. I’d buy from bands use for a while then sell & upgrade.

Not DJ gear... but I once owned a Fender Rhodes Seventy-Three Mark I stage piano. I bought it for $100 during my senior year of high school and put new tolex covering on it. I eventually traded it for a rackmount guitar effects unit, because I wanted to run my DJ system through it for the flange effect.

A Fender Rhodes Seventy-Three Mark 1 stage piano in good condition goes for anywhere from $3,000 to $8,000 today.

I've forgiven myself.

I regret I sold a pair of Pioneer CDJ 800's with individual cases. I know I have a controller and I love it. They are some great CD players. Also should have never gotten rid of my Numark CDN 88.

Honestly, I'm not sure I have any sold-gear regrets. If I had unlimited space I would have loved to keep my Technics M3D turntables. But I have the Pioneer PLX-1000s in my home set up right now which give me a way wider pitch range than just +-8%. The Technics were in good shape, but I get more functionality from my current set and didn't lose anything that was meaningful to me.

I have a few purchases I regret, but not anything I've gotten rid of.

Wow forgot about the Denon DN-D9000 dual CD player. Loved that Dual CD player, to be able to play two tracks off same CD. That was my last dual CD player before going digital. But I sold off all my CD players while DJ were still using them so I’d get top dollar. When I compare the Denon DN-D9000 to my first dual CD player a Numark, it’s like Night & Day.

I also forgot to mention I got rid of a pair of Earthquakes.

If it's a big regret I have a pair here I will give you if you want to pay to have them shipped. I'll even throw in a pair of replacement drivers that need re-coning

Jeff been thinking along the same line. Just need Mixys address and I'll clear out a few items that are not going to bring much cash.
all but gave away four 45x60 jbl's mids & bottom cabinets loaded with EV sro speakers along with two EV long throw horns.
two men and a boy to stack the speakers but they kicked butt in the day.

I don't regret selling any gear at all.

However, I do regret selling a car in the past! My Maroon 1994 Pontiac Firebird Formula. I didn't want to let it go, but couldn't keep up the car insurance on it plus my other vehicle at the time...and it was becoming a money pit. But, If I could go back in time, I would have kept it, and just figured out how to keep it!

I loved the Quakes I just never used them enough to justify having them and the weight was a killer. When I did use them they made their presence known ;)
