I’m selling a midsized system about 8 years old looking for opinions on what to ask for it,
2 Yamaha DXR 10’s MK 1 version
2 Yamaha DXS 15’s MK1 version
Includes Yamaha bags/covers for all speakers and two K&M speaker poles with locking ring speaker tensioners
All in great shape not new condition but not far from it
Located in Southwest Wisconsin
Newest version of all of this gear would total about $4300

This depends on what value you are looking to come to?

Do you want "top dollar for it" because you have taken care of it for 8 years? Or are you looking to sell it rather quickly? A low attractive price get's it sold quick. There are LOTS of used gear out there now all over the place, so if you have it priced too high it will just sit around. I have seen used stuff on guitarcenter.com sitting there for 6+ months because they want too much for it.

Yes, pricing it at 50% of what current brand new seems fair, but it may not be priced attractive enough to actually sell it.

IF the gear is in great looking shape...

I would price the DXR10s at $800 for the pair. Price the DXR15s at $1,100 and promote that they do have the covers with them along with the stands. That should attract people. If nobody buys within 60 days...start dropping the price $50 per pair until someone buys them.
