folded horn subs

and your Yorkvilles mentioned arent true folded horns if you want to be picky.

Not sure what else I would call it .. it appears to fit the definition of a folded horn sub (though Yorkville refers to it as horn loaded and the LS800 as rear-loaded horn) .. I was only pointing out that the LS800 series is not of the same design as the Unity sub. With the LS800, the horn handles the back wave to reinforce the front firing woofer. The Unity drives the horn with all the acoustic energy of the woofer. Not much different from the CVs that are called folded horns.
